The U.S. Department of Labor found employers who embraced disability saw a 90% increase in employee retention. With October being National Disability Employment Awareness Month its time to bring attention to the importance of hiring individuals with disabilities. To accomplish this goal I enlisted the assistance of Michael Lafears . Lafears is a diversity, equity and inclusion expert who spent some time working in Corporate America at Walmart, he’s a published author, served in the Army National Guard and acted as the head coach for Jr. NFL Flag Football while also mentoring Youth.
