Patience versus progress it's a variable debate when a sports franchise is in the middle of a rebuild. For the Detroit Lions their top brass truly believes this time will be the charm and under the leadership of Head Coach Dan Campbell and General Manager Brad Holmes this consistently downtrodden franchise will finally get it right. After winning two consecutive games and the first on the road under Campbell last Sunday against the Chicago Bears, when the team came back to win after trailing by 14 in the 4th quarter, on the road. The first time they’ve done so since 1992. The Lions will now attempt to go for the trifecta when they had to the Big Apple on Sunday to face the New York Giants.
Now is as good a time as ever to pose the question are the Lions truly making progress in year 2 under Campbell and Holmes? Meanwhile, with the team having 5 picks in the top 65 picks in this year’s draft they really have a golden opportunity, to accelerate their reconstruction project to ensure they are consistent visitors and mainstays in the win column for years to come.
