Ramone Reid is the CEO and founder of Cultured Naturals Body Care and Co-founder and owner of MV’s Exterminating LLC. Ramone formulates and manufactures Face, Hair, Body, and Home Scent products at her store located at 55 Company Street downtown, Christiansted. Equipped with a strong background in science and being raised closely with her grandmother Zoe Adeana Cooke, a Nurse for over 40 years, a healer, and Jamaican Maroon. Zoe, bore a wealth of information about natural remedies. Ramone learned from very early about natural alternatives and the effectiveness of them. Ramone had the pleasure of working side by side with her Grandmother Zoe as nurses together at the Kingston Public Hospital taking care of their community as well as offering service to those who came to her Grandmother’s home asking for help. Service and community were always highlighted to be of great importance, and that has been a focus of Ramone’s to present. Always making efforts to not only connect with her community but create opportunities, foster collaborations, offer mentorship, and supporting our local economy by sourcing as many resources locally. Respecting the Art and Science of Modern medicine and that of “bush medicine” passed from ancestors to ancestors, her Grandmother, and then to her, was a torch of healing and love that she wanted to carry. This union of old and new created the Cultured Naturals Body Care’s slogan, “Marrying Nature with Science”.
