Tanya Burton is the proud owner of The Diet Doc - Sedalia and Jefferson City! Her love for fitness and health inspires her to motivate and encourage all those she meets. She is a wife, certified nutritionist, ISSA certified personal trainer, licensed massage therapist, dance instructor, and boot camp instructor. In 2018 she was voted as 20 under 40 in Sedalia. You may have also heard her giving out nutrition tips and advice on the local radio station or reading about it in Missouri Magazine or the local newspaper!
Tanya's Story: She grew up with an active lifestyle playing multiple sports in high school (volleyball was her favorite). However, after college, her active lifestyle started to slow down and she began gaining weight. She battled with anxiety and depression for a long time. She gained over 50 pounds in two years. Tanya was tired of feeling lethargic, and depressed. Finally, one day when she couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs she knew something had to change. Her lifestyle needed to change. So she took the first step in transforming her life by hiring a nutrition and fitness coach. She used the flexible dieting approach to lose 50 pounds in one year. She continued to study nutrition and became a certified NAMS nutritionist.
Tanya Today: In the past 3 years she's helped thousands of women lose between 20-100 pounds! Most importantly, she taught her clients the skills and habits to keep the weight off based on their lifestyle. Tanya is honored to be part of The Diet Doc team!
