Today I talk with Jared Huber, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Hospitalist at the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute. After growing up in a small Idaho town, Jared decided to pursue medicine after job shadowing his soccer coach, who was also a doctor.
Jared’s career story is intertwined with his wife Nancy, who went to PA school at the same time. In this episode, Jared shares how they make dual medical careers work with their 3 young sons. He also explains what it’s like treating cancer patients and the silver linings he sees every day.
