Hello Grace Church. Welcome to the month of May!
We’re moving into Daniel Chapter 2 this week where Daniel and his friends are faced with another life threatening situation. The king has a nightmare and is going to execute everyone who can’t tell him what the dream is and what it means. This story gives us further insight on how to live as exiles in Babylon. Daniel seeks the Lord and God gives him the dream and the meaning. Empires come and go, leaders rise and fall, but there is a Kingdom coming that will outlast them all. Hey, that rhymed!
My prayer is that the book of Daniel will show us how to be good news in our neighborhood and the nations, and that God’s Word would give us a theological vision of how to live in the world, but not of the world.
