Hello Grace Church, welcome to February! We're excited to start a new book of the Bible with you this week as we dive into the book of Jonah. (Pun intended)
At first blush it can feel like this is a story about a man being swallowed by a big fish, but I think we will see over the next month that this story is about a merciful God pursuing people who are running from him.
We all run. We all have heard the Word of the Lord and gone the other direction. We are all like Jonah in that way, and yet God still pursues us in his mercy.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday and talking through how we run from God and how he offers us restoration in the midst of the storm.
