We return to several wells today...the incomparable well of Shirley MacLaine, the magnificent oeuvre of Mike Nichols, the cannon of the darling Carrie Fisher, as well as naturally the work of Meryl Streep (to naturally continue our fortnight title Meryl Mania). This week sees our two intrepid hosts delve into the other Shirley MacLaine film about a troubled mother and daughter relationship, following ‘Terms of Endearment’, with the Carrie Fisher written ‘Postcards from the Edge’. Which one will the boys prefer? You’ll just have to watch.
