SEASON FINALE OF MUSiPOLiTiX!!! ELECTION NIGHT WITH Soul Asylum

ALL FOUR CURRENT MEMBERS OF SOUL ASYLUM WILL BE HANGING OUT ELECTION NIGHT!

For those unfamiliar with Soul Asylum, they have been one of the great indie touring rock bands of the last four decades. Founder and lead singer Dave Pirner is considered to be one of the last great songwriters and true rock stars. To this day they still create protest music, and, as Michael puts it, "music to fight to!" If you dont know any of their music offhand, you probably recognize several of their songs from movie soundtracks (including several films by Kevin Smith) or Bill Clinton's inauguration. SA has also been MUSiPOLiTiX cohost Michael Bland's musical family for the last two decades.

Co-host Dan Spiffy Neuman is a guitarist, organist, minister, and musical director from Madison WI. Dan was raised and mentored by activists and civil rights leaders, and does not know how to shut up about the issues he cares about.

Co-host Michael Bland was Prince's drummer from 1989 on (perhaps best known for the iconic Diamonds and Pearls drum solo) and has been a member of Soul Asylum for 15 years. He toured or did session work with Chaka Khan, Maxwell, the Jonas Brothers/Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Demi Lovato, George Benson, and many many others. He is also a loud voice for social and political issues in Minneapolis.
