In this episode:

What is Dharma?

The root of the word dharma is "dhr̥", which means "to support, hold, or bear".
Dharma is the flow of the universe and the foundation that holds everything in balance.

Without it, the universe would fall into chaos.

The Yamas and Niyamas form the basic laws of Dharma.

Svadharma: Your unique life purpose and natural flow.

Dharma is reflected in the natural movements of the body, leading to health and balance through practices like asana.

Analogies to nature: Just as a plant thrives in its ideal environment, we flourish when we align with Dharma.

Straying from Dharma leads to disease and misalignment with our true self.

Why is Dharma Important?

Living against Dharma (Adharma) causes imbalance and misalignment with the cosmic intentions for your life’s unfoldment.

Adharmic actions obscure the soul and prevent us from experiencing true joy and authenticity.

A Framework to Understand Dharma:

The Soul as Joy: The soul is a source of joy, and following this joy leads to alignment with Dharma.

Following Joy: Using joy as a compass helps guide us toward Dharmic living and authenticity.

Personal Stories:

Aaron and Paige share their own journeys of discovering Dharma and how aligning with authenticity has brought purpose and balance to their lives.
