Hello and welcome to a new series of episodes called Film Flashbacks, on the Auteur Archives podcast. The basic format is, each episode we select a year at random, talk briefly about that year in movies, our least favourites, our Top 5, along with some honourable mentions and recommendations. Starting things off, we begin with the year guest Max Todd and I were both born. 1989 - a year in which saw the birth of the The Simpsons, the Nintendo Gameboy is released and the Berlin Wall is finally torn down along to the sultry tones of David Hasselhoff.
