Description

After a slight hiatus, welcome back to another Film Flashbacks episode, on the Auteur Archives podcast. The basic format is, each episode we select a year at random betweeen 1989 and 2019, talk briefly about that year in movies, our least favourites, our Top 5, along with some honourable mentions and some recommendations.
This time around we take a look at the year of 1990 - a year in which East and West Germany are finally reunited, Paul Gascoigne famously cried after receiving his 2nd yellow card in the quarter finals of the World Cup, the quirky TV show Twin Peaks aired for the first time and Nelson Mandela was released from prison and walked to freedom. But it was also a great year for movies!
Listen now to hear Max and I share our views on the movies released in 1990. Thanks for listening and enjoy!
