Hello and welcome to another Film Flashbacks episode, on the Auteur Archives podcast. The basic format is, each episode we select a year at random, talk briefly about that year in movies, our least favourites, our Top 5, along with some honourable mentions and recommendations.
This time around we take a look at the year of 1997 - a year in which Tony Blair was elected as Labour Prime Minister, JK Rowling releases the first of the Harry Potter books, Diana - Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in Paris at the age of 36 and the famous kids TV show the Teletubbies graced our screens for the first time. But it was also a great year for movies!
