Yo! Another round of hip-hopTokyodopeness! This time we've got two heavyweights of the beatmaking scene, Lidly and Yagi. They are prolific and two of the most well-known producers of their generation.
We get into their beginnings and influences and all that. They also share their opinions on Japanese hip-hop outside of beatmaking and what they think could be done to improve the scene in Tokyo. MLS auxiliary members D.Dahlinger and Keen were also in-studio to provide physical essence.
These guys are hella talented and we're hella happy to have had them on the pod. Also, it was Lidly's first time eating Skittles so the candy mouth noises you hear are something you should embrace and appreciate the opportunity that you were able to witness the moment of pure bliss and joy. Lidly and Yagi dropped a lot of beats during the Weather Report section also so you def peep that as you will!
