This episode is really one recorded at a crossroads. The episode features Shauna Sias - Medical Professional, Singer, and, since June 23, 2020, an Acadiana Poster Child for Whistleblowing. She is the woman most labeled, and therefore most targeted, as the woman who got Jamie Bergeron fired from his 30 year career with Acadian Ambulance for his racial & insensitive meme posts. So while Moose, Ken & Shauna go through that rabbit hole, unbeknownst to anyone, another story is waiting to rock area soon after the conclusion of this recording; this was recorded on August 21st- the day Trayford Pellerin was shot and killed by Lafayette Police. This is the reason why this episode is only now coming out, as the following days, and weeks of reactions following Trayford’s death took precedence over this episode. Hindsight may make listening to this episode feel a little ominous.
