Prayer, something very simple but we make it complicated
How should I pray?
Why should I pray?
How long should I pray?
Are 5 mins enough for the day?
Should I just pray in the morning and before going to bed?
Oh, prayer is not that necessary, For God already know everything before I ask or think
Ps 139:2 You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them.
Ps 139:4 Lord, even before I say a word, you already know it.
But let’s go back and see how Jesus prayed, when he prayed and for who did he prayed. Jesus being God and man prayed. He prayed always
He had fellowship with His Father
Jesus taught his disciple to pray Kingdom prayers
Luke 11:1 Our Father, who art in heaven, let their Kingdom come, let your Will be done
Our prayers should be Kingdom oriented. Our priorities should be His Kingdom
We should seek first the kingdom of God.
Meaning, praying for the minsters of the Gospel
Eph 6:19-20 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Praying for other believers
Eph 6:18 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Eph 1:17: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Praying for his words to have free course in the hearts of Men
2 Thes 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
He is our example.
He prayed as an example to his followers, those who will believe in him
You should pray long
You should pray short
Pray Kingdom prayers
Pray in unity and pray for one another
You should find yourself praying always
You should set time aside to pray, but also pray spontaneously
Don’t just pray because you are led by the Spirit
Pray even when you are not led by the Spirit
For in prayer, you are under His Pavilion
You are under His wings
Your prayers are concealed
Your prayers are sealed
Your prayers are powerful and mighty in Jesus’s Name
Our prayers prevail because we are praying with the righteousness consciousness of God
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Pray always, pray always
Men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
In the place of prayer, you are shield,
Prayer shields you from this world, it directs your steps, it set up your whole life
The place of prayer is full of revelation
Open your mind more in the place of prayer and receive joyfully
Receiving the gift of utterance, power, might and dominion.
