We think we know it all
We think we have it all
There is more to life than what we see in the physical.
Is life a race?
If life is a race, where are we running to?
Who is standing at the finish line?
Do we run in pairs or alone?
Do we have people to support us?
What if I don’t want to run?
So many questions in my head
Trying to figure out the mystery of this life.
Trying to figure with my understanding and wisdom this life that has been given to us.
Hebrews 12:1 says let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us
How do we run a race with endurance?
Running is a concept of speed. Endurance is about having the capacity to withstand
We are called to run and never give up, to withstand whatever life may throw at us
Withstand the pains that may come with the running
Run means to exerted effort into a thing. The running or race is not to make heaven.
The running here is to show discipline and control.
As believer should strive hard to walk a temperate, modest life without no comprise. We do that by looking unto Jesus.
He is the author and finisher of our faith.
At his Incarnation, He ran his race and endured, withstood the cross
Jesus Christ is our forerunner. He has run the race for us.
He has brought back home the prize
Because of what He has done, we can lay aside every weight, and sin which easily ensnares us.
Because of what He has done, we can run with endurance the race that is set before us. The race of life
The race of our life, walking in Jesus’s footsteps
He is that the finish line
No, we are not running alone
He gave us HIS Spirit to run with us
He gave us His Word
The Hebrew Writer in chapter 12 vs 2 says: We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Now he holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne.

Eph 6:11 says 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The armour of God is not something we have to look for.
It is not something we have to search each piece for itself.
The word put on mean to sink into, cloth oneself.
The armour of God is already there in full, all we must do is to sink into it.
Everything is being made for us and all we have to do is to clothe ourselves with HIS armour. We can put on the full armour because we are called his elect, his holy people. Why do we need to search, if we are one with him, as him and through him?
We are clothed in his armour
Having our lions girt with truth
Having on the breastplate of righteousness
And our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace
We are taking the shield of faith, wherewith we shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
And taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
We Pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.
