I loved chatting with Jessica. Her story is VERY inspirational and a MUST listen for ALL.
Here is her information:
Jessica is a young breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed at 33 years old. She went through 16 rounds of chemo, 24 rounds of radiation, a double mastectomy, a hysterectomy and a 10- hour flap reconstruction.
Jessica has lived life with diseased breasts, no breasts and transplanted breasts from her own tissue.
In her words she is "now Forrest Gumping" her way through survivorship and empowering women as she does.
Jessica is the FIRST breast cancer patient to create an app to help women do self breast exams and advocate for their breast health, and she is currently working with her state representative to pass a bill that would teach high school students about self breast exams, skin exams and testicular exams.
