The Mets won a series. After the Giants swept them at home to start the week, the Mets finished out with two straight to take a series from the lowly Nationals. There was offense! Timely hitting! Dingers! It was good.
However, it seems to be the last thing on Mets fans' minds heading into the new week. The team's new thumbs down celebration appears to be directed at the fans who have booed the Mets' underperforming players all season. Javy Báez' postgame comments lit a flaming discourse that burned deep into the night. It sucked. We talked about it.
Then, we're joined by Will Scott, one of the broadcasters for the Mets' Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Mets. Will tells us about his transition into the world of Metsdom after getting hired in May, which players have impressed him the most, and what it was like hearing his own voice on Sportscenter earlier this summer.
Be sure to give Will a follow on Twitter @WillScott44. Enjoy the episode, Mets fans!
