When King David became established as the leader of Israel, he looked around and
recognized that the legacy he was building was more about his own house than the Lord’s. God used
David’s devotion to prepare both a Temple for the nation and a Messiah for the world. We recognize
the need to leave a better spiritual legacy for the next generations as well, and want to initiate a
season of laying down our own crowns to the God who is both WORTHY of all we have, and
RELIABLE to bless our gifts.
