Description

Listeners, I am so excited to share a good friend of mine, Jen Fitzpatrick, with all of you.  She is a wife, mom to two boys, sister, friend, founder of the non-profit Be Brave 513 and most recently a breast cancer survivor. With a mother who was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, Jen experienced first hand what it meant to be a helper to her mother and family members through her mother’s decline. This altered her life choices resulting in her move to Cincinnati, where she worked at preschools, really nurturing that constant caretaker role. In 2016, after finding her very supportive husband Jason, having her two sons, and putting so much time into her role at the preschools, she realized she wasn’t taking the necessary time for herself. This brought her to her self care and love journey after being diagnosed with breast cancer July 24. After fighting her fight and defeating cancer like an #everydaybadass, she founded the non-profit #bebrave513 to bring some happiness to those battling cancer with be brave bags. With as strong of a support system as she had, Jen wanted to show the same support system to those who needed it most.
