Definition: Endometriosis, sometimes called "endo," is a common health disease that affects 11% of American people between the ages of 15 - 44. There are about 60 - 70% of women with endometriosis who are fertile. Unfortunately, it is tough to get diagnosed with endometriosis. On average, it may take 6 to 10 years to be diagnosed, as, for African American women and women of color, it may take 11 to 15 years for a diagnosis.
