Today, Saturday September 19 - Jeremiah the prophet was warning the people of Israel, that because of their sins and disobedience to the commands of God, they would go into captivity in Babylon for 70 years. (Jeremiah 29:10-14) Of course, they didn't appreciate or receive his message very well. We too don't want to hear that we will be punished for our sins and often resist God's promptings to repent and return to Him. But with the message of coming judgment, Jeremiah also gave them a message of hope and a great future if they would only seek the Lord with all their heart. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Today, my friend, the LORD is waiting for you to return to him. So, if you are in the midst of a difficult and trying time in your life, please remember God's love and grace is available to you right now through Jesus Christ! God bless!
