Today, Friday November 20 - James 2 - Spiritual maturity does not mean I have arrived spiritually to a place in my life where I don't need to grow anymore.  Someone said that the biggest room in all the world is "the room for improvement."  That really is the story of Job, that James would mention in the last chapter of his letter.  Job was such a good and upright person that even Satan could not find any wrong in his life to accuse him of.  But God knew that Job needed to grow some more in his relationship with God.  So the book of Job ends with Job saying, "Before these painful trials, I would tell people what I heard about God with my ears, but now my eyes have seen Him and I can tell people what I have personally experienced with God!  Spiritual maturity will be revealed in a life and heart of love!  We will see everyone around us through the eyes of Jesus and respect them and give them value.  Christian love does not mean that I must like a person and agree with him on everything.  But Christian love means I will treat others the way God has treated me!  It is an act of the will, not a emotion that I try to manufacture.  And this "Agape" Love can only come from God Himself through the Holy Spirit Who lives in us!  God bless and have a great day!
