Today, Saturday November 28 - James 3:13-18 - As a young believer in my early twenties, I read and memorized this verse in the Book of Proverbs: "He that walks with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." As I continued to study the Book of Proverbs and the Bible, I realized actually there are only two categories of people around me, the wise and the foolish. Jesus spoke of these two in His parable of the wise man who built his house on the rock and the foolish man who built his house on the sand. When the storm came, the foolish man's house was destroyed, but the wise man's house stood firm. Today, we are either building our house, our lives, on the firm foundation of the "wisdom of God" found in the Person of Jesus Christ and His Word. Or we are building our lives on the shifting sands of the foolish philosophies and false wisdom of the world around us, that denies the wisdom of God. It's a choice we have to make every day! If you are not taking time daily to search for God's wisdom that is found in Jesus Christ and His Word, you are really choosing to be deceived by the false, so called wisdom of the world, which come from below and you will end up living a life of "bitterness, jealousy, selfish ambition, confusion, and vileness." (James 3:14-16) My friend, today please choose the way of God's wisdom which produces right living and peace! God bless!
