But God has given us what we need to resist and to say no to the temptations that come our way. Someone said, "You can't help it that a bird flies over your head, but you can do something about it when the bird begins to make a nest in your hair." How true also with temptations. Peter tells us that God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness. Some good questions to ask yourself as you are facing a temptation that might bring temporary pleasure to your flesh and life, are these; "Will I be glad I participated in this activity one hour from now? Will will regret this action tomorrow, or five years from now? How will this affect my family and friends and eternity, especially when I stand before God one day?" God has been so good to us and has also given us His divine nature to have the strength, the courage and the fortitude to resist the devil and his attempts to destroy our lives and testimony!
