Today, Monday August 17 - Jehovah-Nissi, The Lord is our Banner! We are talking about dealing with the temptations and trials we face in life. I've never been tempted to eat a worm but a fish can be tempted to go after a worm that is hiding a hook and before it knows it, it is hooked and caught. God never tempts us to do evil but He does allow the devil to tempt us. James 1:13-15 "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." What tempts you might not tempt me. But one temptation we all deal with every day is Pride. Today, please trust Jehovah-Nissi to be your Banner and protection as you face the temptations of life!
