Today, Monday August 3 - Jehovah-Rapha, The LORD Who Heals- One of the most dreaded words in our English language is probably the word cancer. In the U.S. alone, over 606,520 people will die of cancer in 2020. That's 1,660 a day. This year over 1.8 million people will be diagnosed with cancer. To hear a doctor say, "You have cancer," can bring all sorts of feelings and emotions into our mind because we immediately know how this will affect our future, our family, and our finances among other things. Cancer is generally something that initially you don't see or feel. It's at work in the body in an invisible way. Today as we look at this name Jehovah-Rapha, we will be reminded that there is a "cancer of the soul" which is worse than the cancer of the body. And it is called "bitterness". It works inside of our emotions and heart and it can have devastating effects that can destroy our lives and those around us if we don't apply God's cure. When God shows up as Jehovah-Rapha, He brings healing to bitter water and He can heal you today too! God bless!
