Today, Friday September 4 - Jehovah-Sabaoth, the LORD of Hosts is His Name! One of my favorite names in the Bible is David. I love reading the stories about him and his great exploits for God! He was a man of great courage during a very difficult time. And of course, one of the favorite stories of all time, is the story of David and Goliath. Where did David, even as a young boy, find the courage and strength to fight with a lion and a bear to protect his sheep, now find courage to face a giant who was threatening all of Israel? While the rest of the soldiers trembled in fear, David faced Goliath in the name of Jehovah-Sabaoth! 1 Samuel 17:45-47 "Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied....Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD'S, and He will give you into our hands." My friend, today you can find this same courage to face your giants and challenges in the person of Jesus Christ! Trust Him today! God bless!
