Today, Tuesday October 20 - A prayer from a pure heart is our means of a spiritual connection to a Holy God. Psalm 61:1-5 "Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy. Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name."
Jesus is the Rock that is higher than I and He is ready and willing to hear and help me if I call on His name! Jesus teaches us several aspects about how to pray in Matthew 6 and Luke 11. One part of our daily prayer should be to seek forgiveness for our debts, our sins, our obligations that we have before our Heavenly Father. When we trusted Christ for our eternal salvation, He forgave us for all our sins and established a eternal relationship with Him and His Father. But now as a child of God, I can still sin and lose my fellowship with Him. Thank the Lord for 1 John 2:1-2 "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world." God bless!
