Today, Friday October 23 - The very first verse in the Bible that I remember memorizing as a 19 year old, brand new believer, was 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." We all face temptations and trials every day! The Lord teaches us to pray against them in the pattern of prayer. "And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one." Jesus told his disciples in the garden just before His crucifixion, "Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation, for the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Today, take time to pray and ask the Lord to strengthen you to stand firm and to give you courage and wisdom as you face the trials and temptations of life! God bless!
