Today, Friday September 11 - Proverbs 27:1 "Boast not yourself of tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring forth." On September 11, 2001, 19 years ago today, 2,977 dear people woke up, got ready and went to work, probably never realizing that they would become a casualty on one of the most tragic days in American history! In that precious group of people who died that day, 343 were firefighters and 72 were police and law enforcement officers. These courageous men and women made a choice to risk and sacrifice their lives in an attempt to save the lives of others! They are heroes who need to be remembered today! I also want to remind us of how Jesus Christ made the choice to sacrifice His life to save us from a terrible place called hell. But we must make the choice today to repent and believe and trust Him with all our heart to be rescued from the tragic consequences of our sin! May the dear Lord help us today to give our lives to rescue others from eternal punishment by living holy lives and making the choice to get out of our comfort zones to love and connect with those who are perishing!
