Today, Friday October 9 - The Bible teaches that we reap what we sow! In my earliest days of ministry and college at Lynchburg Baptist College (now Liberty University), I'll never forget Dr. Jerry Falwell encouraging us to pray.  He introduced us to men like Andrew Murray and his book, "With Christ in the School of Prayer."  Men like Watchman Nee and his book, "The Normal Christian Life."

As we listened to Dr. Falwell's messages on prayer and observed his life of prayer as the pastor and leader of our church and school, and as I read these books, I learned quickly that prayer has a vital place in every believer's life! Both my dad and my mother were people of a consistent and powerful prayer life.  I've often said, that more than anything else that I miss about my mother, who went to be with the Lord two years ago, is her prayers!  She prayed for me every day!  I'm convinced that the only reason I have experienced over 48 years of ministry and today still have the privilege to be a pastor, is because others have prayed consistently for me. That's one reason I still try to spend time daily praying for others, I desperately need others to pray for me!  If I sow prayers for others, by God's grace, I will hopefully reap the prayer of others!  God bless!
