When we can accept that pain is just part of the human experience, we remove all the drama we add on top and stop wasting precious brain energy trying to remove the pain. This allows us to feel the pain, process the emotions that come with it instead of layering emotion and creating misery, and accept that life is 50/50 which puts our brain to work finding the good in our lives again. Today we want to offer you ideas that can help you avoid creating unnecessary suffering which will help you decide if you really want to choose to feel disappointed, or not. When we can get out of spinning in misery we are better able to find solutions to the problems we feel are creating the disappointment. Try asking yourself “why is it a problem?” Remember, pain and joy are not mutually exclusive...it can all exist beautifully together if we are aware and working on our mindfulness. We feel the good, the happy, the joy BECAUSE of the pain.
