The Welsh rock duo Alffa made headlines in 2018 when their song Gwenwyn became the first Welsh language song to cross 1 million streams. Since then, the band have been on the rise, becoming one of the iconic faces of heavy rock music both in Wales and in the UK. Ahead of their first North American tour, I caught up with singer and guitarist Dion Jones to talk about the band’s upcoming Canadian run of shows at NXNE in Toronto, music in Cymraeg and their forthcoming second album.
For more Canadian NXNE coverage, tune into Indie Wakeup Call this Thursday. We're also talking to the festival organisers at 8:30 EST! Yellow Brit Road continues NXNE coverage this Sunday.
