Merry Christmas Eve!
Today is all about the manic energy you may be feeling during the holidays. It includes ways to work on yourself and ways to deal with emotionally reactive relatives.
Right now, I've been living in the left brain takeover, shuffling through the world's greatest hits of all of my failures in life. Although the left brain does a great job of protecting us, it can also lead us to believe nothing coming up can be good for us. When this chatter goes on, we can choose to change our perspective, take back the power, and remind ourselves that it's all just noise.
We can choose to ask ourselves, "What would I love right now?" To zone out and watch a movie, go on a walk, take a nap; to get a few things accomplished on the to-do list so I'm not so overwhelmed.
Remember you are in the driver's seat on those days you feel manic. We can take a breath and choose to be okay with all the things the left brain has to say. Though it's not easy, it can be done!
