At the end of the homily I meant to say: "Isn't this the carpenter's son?" I should really drink coffee and observe the fast before 6:30 AM Mass! There is so much to say about Ignatius so I have added a few things here:
"Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam" "For the Greater Glory of God!" The origin of the phrase is attributed to the founder of the Jesuits, Saint Ignatius of Loyola, who intended it to serve as a cornerstone sentiment of the society's religious philosophy. Saint Josemaria counted Ignatius as one of his patrons. Ignatian spirituality is evident in the writings of Josemaria and many saints.
"Deo omnis gloria. All glory to God. It is an emphatic confession of our nothingness. He, Jesus, is everything. We, without him, are worth nothing: nothing. Our vainglory would be just that: vain glory; it would be sacrilegious robbery. There should be no room for that 'I' anywhere."
