We've had questions thrown our way for the past several years regarding digital or cryptocurrencies. People want to know what they are, how they work, and if they should invest in them. Jason and I discuss some terminology, the background on their creation, and some of the things we can help clients with beginning a few weeks from now. Make no mistake, cryptocurrencies are NOT for the faint of heart and there is a considerable amount of implied risk. Investing in this type of asset class requires additional parameters, disclosures, and assessment to be certain it's both appropriate and understood regarding the benefits and drawbacks of exploring the asset class.
