Our conversation this week is with Alabama prison abolitionist activists Chris Nelson and Morgan Duckett. The state of Alabama is intending on building three private mega-prisons with little community oversight in response to a scathing 2019 Department of Justice report on the state's prison system.
We discuss their work with the church to fight these plans in their communities as we shed light on their important work.
