Hello and welcome to Cabin Boy Minute: Minute 4!
In Minute 4 we discuss Nathanial and his attire, his receipt of the telegram and Nathanial’s first encounter with Headmaster Timmons (Ivor M. Hobson), we briefly review the history of the Queen Catherine, try to determine the shape of Nathanial’s childhood, closely analyze Nathanial’s reaction to Timmons’ shoes, learn a bit about the history of Greystone Mansion and attempt to situate Stephenwood in time and place.
We once again tackle our standard questions for the minute: gags per minute, who wins the scene, funny/not funny, the relation of the scene to the quote, who is most embarrassed, and what could have made this scene more palatable to the general public.
