What to do immediately after you hit publish:
1. Request indexation in Google Search Console.
2. Check & add internal links. You can do this manually using the "site:webiste.com" Google search or use Surfer to automatically do the analysis for you and give you all the best recommendations.
3. Check to see if your content is too long or too short using Surfer's Audit tool.
