Names are an interesting phenomenon. Every single person has one. People will hold newborn babies, inquire about the name, and remark about what a good name it is, or how fitting it is. Indeed, our names say a lot about us, and as we grow, our names in a great way become a part of our identity. In Isaiah 9:2-7, the prophet proclaimed 4 names (or titles) that adorned Jesus. Why these 4 names? What are their significance – especially during this very special season? And how will they minister to us today?
