Are you agreeing with the Lord in your worship, or you are proclaiming over your life the things He has already delivered you from?
John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Worshiping the Lord with songs that do not have the accurate word of God will hinder your effectiveness in worship.
For example, God calls His righteousness in Christ Jesus, but you keep worshiping God with songs that call you a sinner saved by grace. The truth is you are no longer a sinner. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus, the old and sinful nature is gone.
