Why Ecco the Dolphin should be brought back! Hey, what's up everyone back to the podcast. Glad to have you. So today we're gonna talk about Ecco the Dolphin Ecco the Dolphin was a dolphin game that many of us may have enjoyed when we were younger. And it originally came down on the Sega Genesis, and it was cutting edge for that time for that 16 bit era. And it really pushed the way graphics and games were played. It's kind of one of those games you don't see talked about, I'd like to see a remake of this, I think Sega could definitely bring Ecco the Dolphin back. I don't know if they still own the rights. But man, it would be awesome. If in the future, we could get that dolphin game back, because there's so much we can do with modern technology when it comes to gaming. And if there was a game where you could just explore the ocean as a dolphin, and wait off sharks and fish and jelly fish and all those type of things. That would be incredibly fun. Who would not want that? That is what I'm talking about, ladies and gentlemen. So it started on Sega Genesis, and I can remember just playing many hours of ecco the dolphin. Way back in the day, on the good old Sega Genesis, I may even go back and play it just for fun to see what it how it's aged from the 16 bit era. And just it's one of those games that was very innovative for its time. And then you saw it come out on Dreamcast. Dreamcast actually had an echo the dolphin, believe it or not, it was one of their first games on the Dreamcast. And it was neat just to have that game out there where you could explore the ocean, and go out there and do that. And I think this is an IP that definitely can be resurrected, someday in the future, I hope they're working on something or at least considering bringing back ecco the dolphin. Even if it was like a mobile game, I feel like that's a mobile game that would really take off and bring it to the next level. Because what we see with mobile games is we see these games that are very traveling, I think there's even a shark game where you go around as a shark, that's a mobile game that's very popular, and echo the dolphins along those lines, what if you just kind of like traveled around as a dolphin and trying to avoid things, it can be a good, kind of like free runner type game. And as soon as you get attacked, then it's game over something like that for a mobile game, kind of like Flappy Bird was when it first came out and went viral. And we can see it, we can really see that world take off. Maybe they do a 2d version of that game that just is just really neat. And then a 2d 3d version, basically, that's basically the original Sega Genesis game, right. And they make it 3d as a platformer, like they had back then and just really upped the levels of graphics there. And that would be so incredibly fun. And why not? Why not bring it resurrected, it wouldn't be that hard. I think to resurrect Ecco the Dolphin, they kept it simple. And then if it really takes off, they can take it on to the next level. And that would just bring an edge to the future of gaming. So definitely a next gen title. I would love to see if at all possible. Ecco the Dolphin, my friends is coming back. It's gonna make a comeback. This podcast is gonna go viral. And it's going to be history people don't you heard it here. Ecco the Dolphin. Next Gen awesomeness. So I hope it happens. You can hope right? Like two people listen to this podcast. So you better share it if you want this to happen, people. And echo has a little piece of my heart. It's just from the Dreamcast days. And as Dreamcast has a little piece of my heart too. I wonder if they'll ever make a new Dreamcast. I've been waiting for a long time. I don't think it's going to happen. People they kind of say I gave up on the hardware business a long time ago. And I don't think they're going to be hopping back into that web of bankruptcy that they were going in. So they kind of went into the software business, which...
