Everyone, welcome back to the next gen gamer podcast. So glad to have you. As always guys, please make sure you click Subscribe on this podcast, we always try to have a good time. Right now I want to talk about my games of the year since it is New Year's Day. And it is awesome. Whether it's ps4 Pro, it's the new PS five, which I haven't played, I will say that much, or the Xbox series x, or the Xbox One X there is or the Xbox One, there is so many of them. But when it comes down to it, I just want to talk about my top games of the year. And I have to say, my top Game of the Year is Spider Man Miles Morales, I'm going to tell you why. I think the story was good. And I think they did a really good job even though it wasn't a full fledged game of fleshing it out from a triple A title perspective. And what I mean by that is they really dug deep into what they were trying to do. And they put it together. And they made a superb game with a story that I enjoyed. That tackled many of the issues of the past year of 2020. And I felt like that was very deep. And the ending kept me going and I really liked the ending. The ending from a spider man story perspective, is one of the best endings I believe I have ever seen in gaming. And I recommend that everyone goes out there and plays this game, because that is how good of an ending Spider Man Miles Morales is. And you need to go get this game today. You need to get up, go to the store or order it on Amazon or any other service that you can get your hands on and go play this game. So Spider Man Miles Morales wins my game of the year. My second favorite game of the years got to be Immortals. Phoenix Rising. My reason is it's a Ubisoft game. It's a new title. And they finally did something different. Yes, it takes a lot of the aspects from Assassin's Creed. Yes, it has the cartooning graphics, those ships sell shader graphics. However, it's innovative enough. It's slick enough, there weren't any launch issues like we saw with cyberpunk, which could have been if they did it right. Could have been the game of the year. But this game is very straightforward, a lot of fun, and did a lot of different things that we're really looking at, just from a perspective of what's going to be a good game and spot and it did it. Immortals brought on those puzzles, and Zelda like passion that we've been waiting for. That is my second game. My third game, of course, is the final fantasy, seven remaster, which launched during the summer in the middle of the pandemic, and was a hit, I felt like in the middle of the game, it kind of lag for a while. That's why it's in the third spot, because it was a little bit slow when I was playing it, but I ended up finishing it. And I thought it was a very good game. It overall did a great job in regards to bringing back Final Fantasy allowing that world to develop into the game it was and it felt like almost a new game when I played it. Now I did not beat the previous Final Fantasy, it was just too old for me to go back and play it. However, I do feel that from an effort perspective, Final Fantasy seven did a superb job on their remaster, and I'm very happy in what they did there. Next I want to talk about a game that really did an even better job when we look at it from the fourth spot. And that is the hayleigh Assassin's Creed Mahela had no issues with launch another great Ubisoft title. And it did a great job of really bringing everything together when we look at a launch title and what we're trying to accomplish. And I think you really get that game props for Halo did it all. It brought that Vikings idea back to what we're trying to do. And it's in a phenomenal game. Yes. But hayleigh is a great game, and definitely worth playing. Graphics are great. It's a world of exploring, exploration. And it it's definitely on par with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. And that aspect. I think it fine tunes itself to be the right length
