(Originally published Jul 17, 2020) Nikolai Veresov says that understanding dialectics is a prerequisite for grasping the depth of Vygotsky's project, since "cultural-historical theory is the result of the application of dialectics into psychology." For instance, somewhat obscure concepts such as neoformations, drama, zpd, the process of development, and more become much clearer through the lens of dialectical logic.
