Our first movie of Year 2 is a doozy!! Laramy and Bethany discuss the forgotten Brenda Starr from 1986... 1989... 1992???? The movie stars a young Brooke Shields and a not-so-young Timothy Dalton as they play Brenda Starr and Basil St. Clair straight off the pages of the Sunday paper. Laramy provides a background about Brenda's creator Dale Messick, they discuss the silliness of the movie, and Bethany wrestles with whether or not the movie portrays Brenda as a role model.
