National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed on Scarborough Country, hosted by Joe Scarborough on MSNBC, on March 28, 2006. Talking about the groundbreaking premiere of HBO's "Big Love," fictional series about Mormon Polygamists, two other guests also appreared in this segment, Megan Basham of Townhall.com and Dina Sansing of US Weekly. The former, as a writer for a conservative website, tried to suggest that polygamists are not as positive as the show portrayed. Mark Henkel explained how that assertion was propaganda as he gave the soundbite that the "world is larger than little Mormonland bubble of Arizona and Utah." The latter, as a writer for an entertainment magazine, and noting the example of Megan Bashan (who had been talking over Mark Henkel with her false narrative claims), commented that the show's intent was to "push the boundaries" to get people ignited and talking.
