National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed by Westwood One's MetroNetworks' MetroSource Radio News Wire, on August 24, 2001. Criminal Tom Green, a rogue variant of Mormon Polygamist, had been sentenced for his convicted crimes. Mark Henkel explained that Tom Green received a 5-year sentence for the charge of criminal non-support, while each of the four remaining 5-year sentences for bigamy were to be served concurrently, and $79,900 had to paid in restitution for the welfare fraud. Noting the "concurrent" aspect of the sentences for bigamy, Mark Henkel declared the sound-bite, "Tom Green will NOT be serving any ACTUAL time in prison for 'bigamy.'" Identifying criminal Tom Green as "the polygamy Tim MacVeigh," Mark Henkel explained that normal pro-polygamists had always and loudly opposed the real crimes (criminal non-support and underage crimes) of Tom Green. At the end of the interview, Mark Henkel additionally detailed the standard of Love-not-Force, differentiating how real criminals and abusers of women have no connection with healthy UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy.
