Jesus is always on the move in Mark's telling of the story. In 1:29-39, Jesus gets up really early one morning and goes off to pray alone. The disciples go in search of him, and tell him "everyone is looking for you." So Jesus goes the other way.
Everyone is looking for Jesus. Jesus is also looking for everyone!
